The sprouts literally grew 5 inches in a week. The basil is much slower but is growing nicely. I feel the size is good for a Betta fish. I'm picky and hate when I see betta fish in flower vases or small bowls but am satisfied with the size. I would definitely recommend this product! :) if you are an animal lover like me you will have to purchase a heater and a thermometer if you can't maintain 76-80 degrees for the tank. Everything else was included! (Filter, rocks, coupon for betta, water treatment, food, plant bacteria, sprout seeds) i just added some decorations that I already had from an old tank before I switched to all real plants for that onew! It looks nice too:)
