I wanted a replacement for some wooden lanterns with glass panels and battery operated wax candles I had but had deteriorated over time in the summer heat and getting caught a few times in the rain. They were difficult to keep clean and the wax candles even warped in the heat, but the ambiance they created was perfect. Then I came across these: solar powered so no more buying batteries in bulk, they come on automatically when it gets dark, made of metal. Time will tell how weather resistant they are, but all signs point to yes.
