I am a massage therapist so I am in sweaty sneakers for 6 hours at a time, 4 days a week. The insoles are super thin so they fit easily into my Sketchers. When I first received them, the smell of cedar was amazing. The insoles formed around my foot after one work day. For almost two weeks there were no unpleasant odors coming from my shoes. But at almost 3 weeks, the smell is returning and the cedar scent is not half as strong as it was when I first started wearing them. I have left them out to dry every evening. But to be fair, I have yet to try and wash the cedar soles as the instructions suggested. But I do not see how washing them will improve their performance. The insole is so thin and the quality of the wood is questionable so I am afraid that washing them will ruin them completely. Eventually I will wash them, before I throw them out just to see what happens. But I can get at least another week out of them. Seems expensive for something I can probably only use for a month at a time.
