The plates are very good, very nice, they are a retro style. I like it very much, I plan to buy a few other styles.

I ordered the small plate. It is quite a sturdy, and thick plate. The small version is suitable as a tasting plate; i.e. a person putting bite sized food (such as tapas or dim sum) onto their plate. It could fit roughly 4 steamed dumplings.
