Each of these twelve tins includes an interesting ingredient for you to create the most incredible bitters at home. They include black pepper, burdock, caraway, coriander, ginger, hops, horehound, juniper, lavender, marigold, Oregon grape root, and star anise. The included dropper bottles and funnel make it a snap to craft the bitters you want.
We started making bitters kits in April 2013 when we first tried to make our own cocktail bitters at home. We didn't have much luck finding milk thistle seed and burdock root in the supermarket and had to order them online in huge quantities. We knew we would never be able to use all of those ingredients before they became stale and realized that there might be other people out there who want to experiment with making their own bitters but don't want to order a ton of weird herbs. We make these kits so other people can have fun with bitters without a huge investment.
